The 19th tourist season at the Centre gets underway on June 9 and we are determined, more than ever, to maintain our operations, reach our objectives and welcome you with all the warmth, attention and know-how of our wonderful team.

The Copper Interpretation Centre is a not-for-profit agency. We have thoroughly spruced up the centre and its activities since last year. The new exhibit, bright as a freshly minted penny, is sure to please the most avid seekers of knowledge.

Our revamped and improved tour will introduce you to the world of copper by mining discoveries of all sorts. Come check out our new look; your visit will be most appreciated. Through your support, you will help consolidate our jobs, history and Gaspé Peninsula culture.

Visiting hours:

June 9 to September 27, 2008,
daily from 9 am to 5 pm

Become partners in the success of our fundraising campaign. For each gift of $200, for which you will receive a charitable tax receipt, we will offer you 5 family passes good for a complete tour of Murdochville’s Copper Interpretation Centre.

Invite your clients and friends; drop in with own family. You will learn the story behind the final anode produced the last time copper was cast at the Murdochville smelter on April 27, 2002. Above all, you will help consolidate employment and the development of a cultural hub in our community.
